Happy 15th Buffyversary!

Okay, so my icon is out of date, but it still captures Buffy through all seven seasons, so it's still valid. I suppose if I wanted to update it, I'd add images from the season eight and nine comics. But anyway...

15 years of Buffy! I will never stop loving this show. I saw "Once More, With Feeling" on the big screen last week and it was still awesome. It didn't matter that I had already watched it, like, a dozen times. It was still poignant and amazing and witty and full of angst. Even if the show doesn't age well twenty years from now, I think it will still be relevant. The topics the show addressed will never go away. High school, and life, are always going to be hell.

I'm still buying the comics, I guess because I'm a big sucker, but I find it neat that the show found another medium to keep going. The comics aren't as awesome as the show, but they're still canon (whether you like it or not). And even if this is a big money grab, the fact that we're onto another season just shows that Buffy still has stories to tell.

Now, back to saving the universe from killer robot aliens...
