After four years, I've gotten used to the filters they've set up at work. I was resigned to the fact that I would never get to check my personal e-mail or look over Facebook while sitting at my desk doing nothing.

Well, that's not a problem anymore. For some reason I don't understand, work is now letting us visit social media sites.

It's so weird. I guess they finally figured that most people have smart phones these days so employees were still wasting time on Facebook and Twitter and YouTube regardless. It's still not free access to the Internet, but it's certainly freer than before. It'd be neat to see if productivity goes up or down. I like to think it won't matter. Even with filters it was easy to waste time on the Internet.

Now, I'm not a huge fan of Facebook so it's not like I'm going to be on there constantly from now on, but it's nice to see that work can let up. Still, I think I'll waste my time writing than farming digital crops. ;-)
