Ugh. Woke up Saturday with a sore throat and now I can't really talk. Doctor said it was pharyngitis, which, turns out, is just a fancy word for "sore throat". Gee, thanks, I pretty much figured out that on my own. Still, you can never be too sure, right? Usually when I get a sore throat, it hurts to swallow but I can still talk. So it could have been laryngitis for all I knew.
Of course, now I have a problem. People come to me for help all the time at work. I can't really help if if the best I can manage is a croak. I need a Speak & Spell or something so I can communicate. On top of that, too, is the fact that the co-worker who usually helps out with the people asking for help is on vacation this week, so everyone has to come to me regardless. It's also the reason I can't just stay home; there's no one else to do the stupid data entry work.
I should put up a sign that says, "Admin out of order. Please come back later." Sigh. Oh well. Lots of lemon and honey for me.
