Thor: The Dark World; a somewhat coherent review
So I stopped playing Diablo III long enough to go see Thor: The Dark World today. Some sequels can suck, but this one was really good. Better than the first one, even. Marvel is on a roll.
And I can definitely see Joss' influence on the film. I don't know which scenes he re-wrote, but there was a lot more humour in this movie, but not slap-sticky, and that's so Joss. I like that the Marvel Cinematic Universe can have funny moments but it doesn't take away from the seriousness of the plot.
( Spoilers for Thor: The Dark World )
While waiting in line, I had a nice chat with two older ladies who are also big geeks. They were there on their own, with no kids, and that's so cool. I really don't get to meet people older than me who really like the same stuff I do. And they really knew their stuff. We started talking about Doctor Who after one of them noticed my Dalek shirt and they both had Doctor Who key chains. Naturally, I had to show them my TARDIS one. :-)
Can't wait to see Captain America: The Winter Soldier next.
