Or Happy Pi Day if you prefer. :-)
Saw the Veronica Mars movie tonight. Loved it. Made me wish I had re-watched the series, but I remembered enough to get by. I hope the movie does well that Warner Bros decides that Rob Thomas and Co. can make more. Perhaps a miniseries on Netflix? A TV show is certainly more accessible than a movie. I think a random person going into the movie wouldn't really understand what's going on.
So this is the third TV show or TV show related movie I've watched in a theatre, following Serenity and Doctor Who's 50th anniversary special. So much fun watching someone with a room full of fans. They get all of the jokes. :-)

Date: 2014-03-15 09:07 pm (UTC)Now next week I'll be getting the urge to watch the next episode and... woops, no next episode!
Bah!
Oh well, hopefully it does well... if not, apparently there's novels coming out that take place immediately after the movie (and are canonly important enough that Rob Thomas says if a sequel does get made it might wind up being more or less an adaptation of the novel).

Date: 2014-03-16 05:37 pm (UTC)And while books are cool, I want to see Veronica on my TV screen.
Also, what was with the random Canadian themed bar Logan takes Veronica to? It seemed like a Canadian themed bar since it was called the Beachcombers. But everyone in the audience started laughing, of course. :-) Oh, and I loved the fact that they referenced the aborted season four where Veronica was going to be with the FBI. This was so a movie for the fans.
