In the week and a half since the move downtown I have finished six books. Four actual books and two on my phone. Admittedly, I had started a few before the move, but I was still near the beginning with them, so that's still progress in my mind. :-)
I was totally not expecting to blow through books like this during the commute, but I have an hour every day to read, sometimes longer if I miss my bus home. Before this, I was only reading for half an hour during lunch during the work week, plus whatever I could manage on the weekend. So I've finished all of the books I got from my book club and now I'm on to the ebooks I downloaded from the library. I'm actually worried that I might run out of reading material. My book club doesn't meet again until December 13.
This is a great feeling, though. I feel so accomplished.

Date: 2014-11-28 01:09 am (UTC)I'm currently working my way through Among Others by Jo Walton and one of the Twelfth Doctor novels The Crawling Terror. The Doctor Who book is nothing to write home about, but I'm quite enjoying Among Others. The main character is a voracious reader of sci fi and she keeps referencing all of these books I've never heard of, so it makes me want to find them so I can read them.
