Adventures in Knitting: One Row Handspun Scarf; day two

Well, frak. I had to frog my scarf. :-P I wanted to fix something on a previous row and by the time pulled that row apart, I couldn't figure out how to get it back onto the needles. The pattern is too complicated for a beginner like to me to reconstruct. And I was up to 9.5 inches today.

Guh, I guess I learned a valuable lesson. Don't get too cocky. Just because you're making a ton of progress, all of it can go out the window in an instant.

Total length (at the time of this posting): 0 inches :-(

Oh no! That's the worst.

*big hugs*

It happens to every knitter, right? All you can do is start over.

It kind of felt like that scene in "Castrovalva" where Five unravels Four's scarf. So much sadness as each row just dissolves away...

Oh yeah. I can't count the number of times it's happened to me. There's something SO dispiriting in pulling apart your work. But it will be worth it in the end ...

Thankfully, it's nearly winter year round here in Canada, so a scarf can be worn well into April. So if I'm a little behind in my knitting, I can take comfort in that thought. :-)
