Okay, that totally makes sense. I think I was just confused since the mid-credits scene at the end of Ant-Man was from Civil War so I had kind of assumed that the two were happening around the same time when really, the scene is a glimpse of the future.

Viewers were supposed to assume it was Margaret Carter but some of us thought it was Michael Carter who was alive after all...

Ooooh... That's an awesome theory. Maybe Michael's death was faked. That'd be an interesting thread to pick up in season three (assuming, of course, that ABC does the right and only choice of renewing Agent Carter).
