My rushing around day was yesterday, so today was a lot more chill. At least, as chill as it can be for a Saturday.
First thing I did was get in line for Jeremy Renner's autograph. Things were a little chaotic as the set-up got changed at the last minute but the volunteers did their best with what they had. Renner was also behind a curtain, so there was no sneaky way to get in a photo from far away. Renner's security detail also was super strict about no cell phones once you were at the table. Like, they were expecting people to secretly record Renner? Anyway, he was super nice for like the 3 seconds I met him.
I wanted him to sign the photo "Hawkguy", as a reference to the great Hawkeye comic by Matt Fraction, but my friend who was in line with me said she thought I said "Hot Guy" and then that's when Renner starting signing, so I guess he heard "Hot Guy" as well. And, well, as you can see, he put down "Hot Guy" instead of "Hawkguy." Whoops. Oh well. It's not like "Hot Guy" is completely inaccurate.

While waiting for Renner, I noticed that John Cusack's line was barely filled, Nathan's Fillion's line was pretty packed and Capaldi's table was too far away for me to see, but later I saw that the line was half full. That's right; Nathan Fillion had more people waiting in line to see him that John Cusack. Way to go, Nathan!
Since I had time to kill, I got to talking to a friend at his artist's alley booth. He met Capaldi in the hotel last night and he said he's the greatest guy despite the fact that he never smiles in fan selfies. So while it seems like Capaldi is always grouchy when he meets fans, really, he's squeeing with you on the inside. Anyway, artist friend mentioned to Capaldi he did a drawing of Capladi as Malcolm Tucker and he was going to bring it to Capaldi's table to get it signed. Artist friend asked if Capaldi could write some vulgar on it, since this is Malcolm Tucker we're talking about, and Capaldi promised to do it. And he did it! He wrote "Get a f**king life you twat (all the best really)."
I checked out John Cusack's panel since there wasn't much else to do. Somehow, Garrett Wang was moderating again. Actually, Garrett said he stole the panel from another moderator because he wanted to meet Cusack.

I really wish Cusack had taken off his hat. In every picture half of his face is in shadow. Also, I took this picture from, like, the second last row in the giant panel room. This is 21x zoom. Amazing, right? Well, at least until you zoom in on the photo, but still!
I also realized that Cusack has done of ton of movies and some I've never heard of. Like, he did a movie with Jackie Chan called Dragon Blade?
So every year I miss the cosplay contest, but I managed to see some of it while waiting for my photo op time with Renner. They started off with a kids' cosplay showcase and my god, some of the kids were so god damn cute. There was the cutest little Ewok. He had a stone tipped spear and everything. That's parenting done right.
The actual cosplay contest was hosted by Mark Meer and that man is such a hoot. His background is improv so he can come up with the funniest stuff on the fly. And, oh yeah, he's an awesome cosplayer, too. Just look at what he was wearing:

Super Skrull! I wished I had been able to stay longer. Later, I saw pictures of a Mass Effect: Andromeda cosplay group and they looked awesome.
Last thing of the day was Renner's photo op. His lines were so long. He only started like 15 minutes late, but they were really hustling people through to stay on track. Though, when my friend and I got into the photo op area, Kevin Sorbo was there chatting to Renner. I don't know if they're friends, but Sorbo said Renner should stop by his table later. But yeah, Hercules held up the line. :-D

By coincidence, we were all wearing leather jackets. That's my Jessica Jones cosplay, but it is dressy enough that I didn't look like a slub next to Renner.
Tomorrow is the last day. There's a few more panels I want to check out, but I'm also debating whether to get Nathan Fillion's autograph again. I have a Mal action figure that's begging to be signed. I guess I'll decide in the morning.
