The Master would have been an obvious choice too, but maybe too obvious? He tried to steal the Doctor's regenerations before and that didn't work out so well.

The comic is definitely worth checking out. I think the trade paperback is coming out in the spring so no need to buy all six issues on their own. Half the fun is picking out the references and trying to identify everything in the museum. :-)
