Vampires, and werewolves, and ghosts. Oh my!
So Being Human just finished and Doctor Who is back in a month. What am I going to watch in the mean time? I was kind of hoping Ashes to Ashes would be back soon, but all I can find for a premiere is "Spring 2010". Come on, BBC, give me date. Or are you going to make me watch Doctor Who and Ashes to Ashes at the same time? *locker_monster's head explodes at the thought of all the time bending awesome*
Some Being Human thoughts in the meantime...
I didn't like this season as much as the first season. George, Mitchell, and Annie just drifted too far apart. All of them were pretty much off in their own worlds and they barely had any time together. Or maybe it was the fact that everyone was so damn depressed. I swear, no one cracked a smile past episode one. I can't see where they're taking the show (besides to Cardiff but more on that later). Annie's crossed over, Mitchell killed a boat load of people, and George... Well, nothing much happened in the end with him, really. He was forced to split up with one girlfriend but he got back together with Nina. The boys trying to find Annie in the afterlife sounds interesting. But resurrecting Herrick? Do we really need to bring him back?
Maybe he'll just to be there to give the show a supernatural threat, rather than a human threat. Kemp and Lucy were interesting, but ultimately, kind of boring. Kemp was your typical dude out for revenge. I don't get why he suddenly started killing people left and right, but I suppose even "righteous" people can become monsters. And what was the point of Ivan and Daisy? They showed up, they sort of taunted Mitchell, and then poor Ivan got blown up. I was actually kind of sad to see Ivan go. Daisy was just crazy.
And the series three is going to be set and shot in Wales? Makes sense, in light of recent developments. Or maybe it's some master plan to enable Russell Tovey to join this re-vamped version of Torchwood that's being proposed. ;-) Could you imagine it? A crossover with Being Human and Torchwood/Doctor Who?
I suppose with the Olympics over, it's back to watching North American television. I can't remember where I left off with some of my shows though...
