Seems I can't be a geek at work anymore
Well, work finally wised up. I can't access io9.com during my lunch break anymore. Sigh. Apparently it falls under "Entertainment;Blogs/Personal Pages", whatever that means. Come on, io9.com is a news site; the news they cover is just sci fi/fantasy news.
So I'm very bored now. A lot of the other sites I visit are also blocked. Seems all of my interests are things my work doesn't approve of. Video games, blogs, and now television/movie sci fi/fantasy news. The only thing that isn't consistently blocked are wiki sites and there's only so much trivia I can read before that gets boring too. I suppose I could write during my lunch hour. If I'm still employed by November, that time would come in handy if I want to NaNoWriMo.
I just miss being on top of all the latest news. Reading about it when I get home isn't the same. Damn you work for forcing me to do actual work while at work.
