Yay, only, like, a month to go before the premiere! Have a Coulson promo:

This is so a Joss show. Drama and humour and all perfectly balanced. All big movie franchises should have a TV show in the same universe. You get to tell stories that are more personal but they still have the same energy as the movies. And obviously you can get more stories, too.

I don't need Tony or Steve to show up, but it'll be cool if they make references to their movies as they come out. Nice way to do tie-ins and marketing, if you're in to that stuff. And this isn't something they could do right off the bat, but it'd be neat if they eventually have flashbacks to Peggy Carter's era, when S.H.I.E.L.D. was in its infancy.

And apparently Joss is on the cover of this week's Entertainment Weekly, but my copy hasn't been delivered yet. My mail carrier is so reading it...

I am so ridiculously excited about this show!

I have long been interested by the lives of people who aren't superheroes living in a world where superheroes are a thing that exists, so I would be intrigued by this show even without Joss. Since it does seem to show lots of Joss's influence, it is up there with Sherlock S3 as the fandom things I am most looking forward to.

Joss sort of touched on normal people living in a world of superheroes in The Avengers. That moment when that guy is caught playing Galaga on the Helicarrier? I mean, who wouldn't be secretly playing a video game while at work? Everyone does it. So yeah, it'll be cool to see more of that. And it's very Joss, showing ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances.

Yes, this and season three of Sherlock are my must watches for the fall. Well, and the 50th anniversary special for Doctor Who but that's a one off.
