Okay, I'm even more exhausted than yesterday and it's not like I did anything either. I guess just being in a huge crowd can really suck the energy out of you. Still, a good day.

I wish I had more pictures, but my sister had her fancy camera so I really didn't bother. As I mentioned yesterday, I got to meet Michael Hogan. His BSG panel was today and he was there with Kate Vernon. And this just shows how geeky the city is, or at least some of its staff, but the panel was moderated by the Mayor's chief of staff. Anyway, Kate and Michael were good fun and you could tell they really get along. At one point, Kate was answering a question about learning she was the Fifth Cylon and she got teared up. Michael started rooting around in his pocket for a handkerchief but he came up empty so he offered Kate the tip of his coat instead so she could wipe her eyes. :-) Actually, Kate asked for a tissue but the expo people came up empty, but I had tissues and I quickly pulled out the package. It was run up to the stage and Kate said thank you. I eventually got the package back so I can say, "Kate Vernon touched this package of tissues!" But anyway...

Oooh, we got to shout "So Say We All!" Michael did it without any prompting. It was awesome. Way more awesome than when Edward James Olmos did it. Michael started shouting it and we started to shout back and then he got the entire audience on their feet shouting "So Say We All!" Geek heaven.

The next panel was Summer's.

She was great and very sweet. Someone asked her who would in a fight: Cameron (her character from Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) or Schwarzenegger's Terminator and she refused to answer. So cute. And that's Teddy from InnerSpace for those of you who do get Space in Canada. He and another host were moderating panels all weekend.

Next up was Christopher Judge. Man, that guy is funny. My face was sore from laughing through his panel. Also very naughty. He kept making all of these double entendres and then he'd get really embarrassed. And man, the SG-1 set sounded like a blast to work on. All of the hi-jinks the cast got up to. It makes me sad the movies aren't going ahead any time soon. Oh, and Chris joined Twitter: iamchristopherjudge. Don't know if it's up and running yet, but there you go. Plus, he was really excited about being cast in a huge movie but he couldn't say which one, so I got to keep an eye out for an announcement of some sort.

But of course, the big panel of the day was William Shatner's. The room was packed. The panel was late getting started but you didn't get the sense that the crowd was growing restless. Finally, when Shatner did show up, pandemonium. So, as is the tradition here, big names get a White Hat (a nice cowboy hat) to mark their visit here. The Mayor was on hand and the hat was rolled out on top of an R2D2. This Mayor, way better than the last mayor. He made all the appropriate geek references. I pretty much think he's secured the geek vote for the next election. This pic is from the chief of staff's Twitter, not the best, but you can see all the media that were on hand. Shatner wore the hat for a bit but took it off for most of the panel. I think he'll probably throw it into his closet, but it was still cool.

And my gosh, Shatner is a rambler. He would start to answer a question, get off track, tell a story, and then eventually get back to the question. But that was cool. He wasn't just answering questions. And he's pretty energetic for 80 years old. He didn't sit down on the couch and he didn't sound tired at all and the guy had been signing autographs and taking photo-ops all day.

Oh, and the Mayor wears Chucks! He's the one in yellow. Also, I was sitting behind him for the entire panel (Yay, VIP pass!). Last I saw, he was wandering around the exhibit hall.

I ended the day getting Summer's autograph and picture and Christopher's autograph.

Another name on the SGA bag. I told Chris to sign anywhere and he started asking about all the autographs and whose was whose. I pointed out Amanda Tapping's (top left with the heart) and Michael Shank's (on the right with the smiley face), and Chris immediately signed dead centre underneath the SGA logo saying he wanted higher billing than the other two. :-D

I didn't end up saying much of anything to Summer. Just a quick, "Hi", here's the comic book to sign and hey, I bought a photo-op with you. She was doing them at her booth so you snapped the pic right then and there.

And another Firefly autograph for the comic! Strangely, I've only had female cast members sign it so far. They really need to get some of the male cast members to show up.

Annoyingly, I did a photo-op with Felicia yesterday and the expo minions couldn't find it this morning. My ticket didn't scan properly but one of the higher expo people said he'd make a note of it. I really hope they haven't lost it. I need to go back tomorrow morning and find out what happened.

Not too much going on tomorrow besides The Guild panel, but there will be a roller derby. Zombies vs superheroes. Should be interesting.
