Maybe it's because Ten and Inara have a lot in common? In my fic I was trying show that both the Doctor and Inara don't have the luxury of falling for someone. The Doctor will outlive anyone he meets and Inara being a Companion really complicates a relationship. Either that, or Inara looks good with anyone in a brown coat. ;-D
