Went to the mall to buy boots and left with a video game instead. Yup, I know my priorities. :-)
The game in question is Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Very much like the X-Men Legends games. Team of four running around various places and beating up the bad guys. A button masher for the most part, but I enjoy playing the characters. Looks like the characters here are based on the Ultimate versions of the characters but I can't tell for sure yet.
The only problem is this game is built for multiple players. I can play fine on my own; the AI takes over the other three characters, but it's so hard to score a combo when the AI has the other characters just hitting things. That was the best part about X-Men Legends. Getting the combos and scoring an awesome power-up. Still, this game has characters outside of the X-Men, like Captain America and Iron and whole bunch of others, so it's good fun trying to figure out their powers.
Who needs boots anyway? Winter won't be coming for another month or so. My toes will survive.
