Yay, I'm officially a staff member at work now! No more agency status. I had to sit through a new hire orientation though. Or would that be a re-orientation? I went through the same thing the first time they hired me. It was the same video, same Power Point, same free mug, only I got to fill out more forms today.

The one downside? I'm basically back at day one. I started working for the company back in July and terminated my agency status at the end of December. So that's a good six months that won't be counted towards anything. Sigh.

And today felt like a first day. I got into work only to find out my fellow admin assistant broke her leg over the holidays so it was just me today with no work to do. Plus one of my co-workers, who's been sitting by me for six months, kept calling me "Anna". Uh, no. That was the girl before me, who left like five months ago. I don't get how this co-worker doesn't know my name by now. I have a name plaque by my office door and my "out of office" sign is right on the door with my name in frickin' bold letters. I wasn't sure how to correct her though. After all this time and she still doesn't know my name. I figure she'll get it eventually when she looks at my damn door.

Now I actually have to care about my job. I prefer being apathetic though. :-)
