It is kind of reminiscent of Outlander, with a Scot from the past and an English woman from the future. Since I really like those books, I gladly accept your compliment. :-)
I also appreciated the subject matter - on different types of skills and knowledge being equally valuable.
That's the thing I love about Jamie and Zoe. They have vastly different backgrounds but they still got along and they helped the Doctor in their own unique ways.
