I wonder if I'll have the same problem when I get to TNG. I was fairly young when I watched it the first time through, so those first impressions might stick around.
The little squeaks from the tribbles as they fall out of the storage compartment are marvelous. And now I can't watch that scene without thinking about Sisko and Dax up above them, scanning away for a tribble-bomb! :D
I love that the DS9 writers came up with an explanation for why the tribbles kept falling onto Kirk's head. I actually watched "Trials and Tribble-lations" before watching "The Trouble with Tribbles", so when I got to the actual episode, for a second I actually thought, "Hey, where's Odo in the bar scene?" The two eps are so tied together now that you really can't view one without viewing the other. :-)
