Bad day at work. So I bought a video game to make it better. At this rate, my video game library is going to be huge.
But I caved and bought Halo: ODST. I haven't played it yet, I'm so tired right now, but I have the day off tomorrow so I expect much first person shootage then. And listening to Nathan! I could really care less if the game sucks.
I'm completely unfamiliar with Halo though, so if I do play some multi-player, I so see getting my ass kicked by some 12 year old.

You have to watch out for your health more, and you can't just bulldoze through the bad guys cuz you're not wearing the big Spartan armour like you are in Halo3... it's very film noire, and has a soundtrack reminiscent of old detective films - and you are solving a mystery in the game. I liked it quite a bit, the cooperative campaign was more fun than Halo3's cooperative mode (IMO) as you depend on each other more. Worth the money, I think. And yeah, you get to hear Nathan and Adam and Allan as the different characters, which is fun :o)

Date: 2009-09-25 08:51 pm (UTC)I started playing the game this afternoon. Taking a break now since my vision's going a little cross-eyed. I've never played any of the Halo games before, at least not extensively, so I have nothing to compare it to, which is good in a way I suppose. I'm a complete Halo n00b, so the whole world is new to me. I do recall Master Chief could dual wield in Halo 3 and I miss that, having two guns in your hands, blazing away. :-)
And you actually get to play as Nathan's character as Rookie searches for clues. That was fun.
