I needed a new pair of boots. So what do I do? I buy a pair that look like Amy's. Gah, I'm hopeless.

A close match, I think. Aldo.com if anyone's curious. Amy's boots look a little saggier than mine, but Karen Gillan has long, skinny legs and I have short, stubby legs so that probably makes a difference. Still, they're cute boots.
And it's occurred to me that I could cosplay as Amy at the local comic book expo in June. If you know the promo picture I used, it's Amy's outfit from "The Pandorica Opens"/"The Big Bang". I already own a light purple v-neck shirt , a red cable knit scarf, and red knit gloves. I would just need some black skinny jeans, a dark purple undershirt, and a leather jacket. All things I would wear again outside of cosplaying.
(Okay, Amy wore brown cowboy boots in the actual episode, but I so do not want to buy a pair of cowboy boots, even though I live in the fakey cowboy capital of Canada.)
The only thing I would definitely need but would not use again is a ginger wig. But without it, I'm just some Asian chick dressed very warmly for the middle of June. It's super tempting though. Last comic book expo I did see some Doctor Who cosplayers, but season five of Doctor Who had only started a few weeks earlier, so there were no Eleventh Doctor era costumes. I could potentially met an Eleventh Doctor. :-)
Something to think about, but for the time being, I'm going to enjoy my new boots.
