Oh yeah, Torchwood. One more episode to go. Man, the ending better be good.
As for the penultimate episode: Wha? The Blessing is a giant crack? Or a hole? And it sucks stuff in? Seriously?
I get that the Family or whoever must have found it and started to dig it up, but what the heck is it? An alien? And why does it want Jack and his blood? Is the season going to end with Jack jumping into the Blessing? So, so confused. I was expecting an alien and the Family was abusing it somehow to make the miracle. Not some crack that shows people who they really are.
Also, jumping ahead two months felt like a giant cheat. "Everything's fine now! Some stuff happened, but nothing worth showing." We don't see how Jack and Esther made it to Scotland. Heck, we don't even see how Esther dealt with Jack's gun shot. Did she pull out the bullet herself? Did she risk going to a hospital? There's all these questions. And we missed out on all of this character development for Esther. She seems much more in charge, less timid. I know showing stuff like that would have dragged out the story even more, but it would have been nice to see. And how close did Jack and Esther get?
I did enjoy spending more time with Gwen's family. It's kind of funny how they became prescription drug runners. But Gwen's mom doesn't bat an eye at any of this; you can see where Gwen gets it from. I kind of hoped that Rhys would get to go with the team to one of the cities, but alas, he did not. I never get tired of seeing Gwen and Rhys acting as a team. He knows her job is dangerous but he still helps her regardless. Gwen and Rhys should really meet Amy and Rory. I think the two couples have a lot in common. Maybe Rory and Rhys are distantly related! Okay, probably not, Williams is a really common surname, but they could bond over having kick ass wives. :-)
Oswald sort of got shoe horned into the story. Makes me wonder if he ends up dying to stop the miracle or something. Why else have him tag along? So far, he's just been creepy so there has to be more to his story.
I really hope things don't end with Jack dying. Torchwood might not come back, but it would be nice to have Jack show up on Doctor Who again. He could meet River and there could be shenanigans. My god, the trouble those two could get into.

And about the Blessing being a giant crack? THIS. I mean, wtf?
