I think the whole point of me buying an Xbox was so I could play on-line with my sister and her husband. We used to play Guild Wars together, but that was a few years ago. Of course, the only problem with playing a game on-line is you actually have to have a game with a co-op mode. As far as I'm concerned, there aren't a lot of options out here, not less you want your ass to be kicked by a ten year old. I've been told that can happen. :-)

But hurray for zombies! Left 4 Dead is all about the co-op. Work together or you're zombie meat. I played a little by myself but I doubt it's half as fun as with another person or a group. There's really no plot, but I guess that's not the point of the game. I can see how the game can get old fast if you're playing by yourself though.

Sadly, no bonuses for shooting the zombies right in the head, but you do get a nice splatter of blood all over you. I like the shotgun, it does more damage, but you can only get off ten shots before you have to reload. I dunno; maybe some of the other weapons are good, too. But when the zombie horde comes running at you, thinking about the right weapon is the last thing on your mind. You just keep shooting until all the zombies are bodies on the group. I'm not fond of the zombie hordes. The different kind of zombies are kind of cool. They're not all shambling, or in this case, marathon runners.

I wish the game had maps or indicators to tell you where to go. I hate randomly running around. And you can jump into any level of a campaign. You don't have to unlock first or anything. That's sort of weird, but helpful. You don't have to play through the level again if you die or whatever.

Ultimately, Left 4 Dead, not as addicting as Mass Effect, but still fun. Need to get my sister and her husband their copy so we can all enjoy blowing zombies away.
