So it's confirmed confirmed. I'm leaving Project Hellhole for good! I spoke with my new admin manager and I have a new spot and everything. I'm back in a cubicle, but that's okay. According to the floor plans it's just me in the quad of cubicles with people from the client company occasionally filling the other spots. And my screen won't be facing the foot traffic (I assume), so I can get away with writing if need be.

I am beyond happy this has worked out. I think I had to turn down three positions before this one finally worked out. Three! So I'm ready to book it when Friday rolls around.

Now I just have to get everything organized before I leave. Poor lone co-worker is still on holidays so she has no idea I'm leaving yet. I'll leave her an e-mail, of course, detailing everything, but I hope she doesn't get super swamped now that she has to look after my stuff, too. I'm not sure if my idiot manager knows yet. He's finally back in the country (after a work visa snafu), but he'll definitely know for sure when I send him my "project done" paperwork to sign. And if he protests, well...
