Hmm, that sounds like the start of a joke.
"It was so cold-"
"How cold was it?"
"It was so cold, that I couldn't get into my office building this morning!"
Okay, so not really a joke, but it's true. Massive cold snap hit most of the country. It was like -40 today with wind chill and that's damn cold no matter what measurement you use. Cold enough, apparently, to freeze the card reader sensor thing on the outside of my office building. I scanned my card over this morning and the damn thing wouldn't unlock. I thought maybe it was my card, that it was too cold from being in my bag, but warming it up in my hands did nothing. Then I thought maybe the lock was too cold and I tried warming that up with my hands. Yeah, that didn't work either. I eventually had to go around to the other door and thankfully that was unlocked this morning.
Oh, and it was also cold enough that I had to wear long johns so I wouldn't freeze my legs off. Ah, the joys of a Canadian winter. Anyone else have winter battle stories?
