Thank you, Comic Con. I knew they would show a trailer today during the panel:
I’m just excited to see some footage from season nine finally. But man, Twelve needs a haircut. Aside from that we get hints of:
( Spoilers for season nine trailer )
The premiere is much later than I expected, though. September 19. If we’re getting 13 episodes and the BBC plays them straight, without interruption, then that takes us to two weeks before Christmas. So either there’s not much of a wait this year or, and I dread this, they’re cutting the season in half again like they did with season 6 and 7. I really hope they’re not splitting the season.
In other trailer news, there was a trailer for Lego Dimensions, a new Lego video game. It features Twelve quite heavily, which is misleading, since he’s part of an expansion pack and not part of the initial game release. Despite that, Lego!Twelve! I would totally buy the game just so I could play the Doctor Who expansion pack. And, apparently, when you die, you regenerate into one of the Doctor’s other incarnations. So I guess when you die as Twelve, you cycle back to One and then you go chronologically from there.
I’m expecting more Comic Con goodness over the next couple of days. God, this is a wonderful time of the year for geeks.
