- Thanks for all of the thoughts and opinions regarding AO3. I think I will create an account there once they open up the invitations again. Looks like the automated invitation queue is down due to spammers.

- Found $5 today. It was at the train station, just lying there on the ground. The odd thing was, a couple of people passed by it and didn't pick it up. I mean, it wasn't hard to miss. The $5 bill is blue and the ground is brown. So maybe people felt weird picking up such a large denomination? Well, I certainly didn't feel weird. ;-) It's not a bad way to start the day, that's for sure.

- Case in point: I got the last of my project packed up today and then I got some mostly good news about a potential new project for me to join. So I could be working on a new project as early as February 2, which is great, because the project I'm on is pretty much dead now. Plus, the new project is back at my old building, the one that's within walking distance from my house. Of course, that would mean no more reading on the train, which makes me sad. I got so many books finished that way.

- Oh, and Arrow's winter premiere:

Yeah, totally not surprised that Ollie isn't dead. I expected them to end the episode with Ollie waking up and the show did exactly that. I'm just disappointed that the Lazarus Pit wasn't involved in bringing Ollie back from the dead. Because how are they going to explain how he didn't die? He got stabbed through the heart. You don't just slap a band-aid on that. Oh, and there was one thing that I really didn't appreciate. So, Laurel is finally the Black Canary, but they had a stupid shot of her ass in her skin tight leather pants. Sigh. At least her butt wasn't pointed to the sky at a unfeasible angle.

The automated queue is suspended, but AO3 members can still request invite codes to send to people they know. So, I just sent AO3 a request for an invite code for you! Hopefully they will send it to me soon!

I guess I didn't see your request for opinions about AO3, but I like it - it's my favorite of the fanfic sites, except that it has low traffic. To me, its tools are the best designed for publishing (there are, of course, things I wish they'd add), and I like its format for reading.

Hopefully it doesn't take forever to get approval to join the new project. I'm being forced to take a vacation day on Monday while I wait for news. Potentially, I could do some coverage work while I wait, but it all depends on whether an admin threw out her back or not. Is it mean of me to hope that she really injured herself?

The $5 was nice. I was tempted to buy a lottery ticket with it, but I think it's better to spend it on something that's more useful.
