And is pink the colour for the season? Lot of pink shirts going on lately.
Hey, look at Martha, a doctor and working for UNIT. :-D I wasn't expecting that. The implication is the Doctor got her hired. Seems odd that Martha hadn't considered that before speaking with Jack, though who knows if Martha knew that the Doctor used to work for UNIT. In either case, it looked like she wasn't too happy to learn she got the job because of the Doctor, or at least that's how I see it. She believed UNIT thought she was a pro, and they wanted to hire her based on that. It's kinda like a dad or mom speaking to a friend to get one of their kids a kick-ass job. Still, looks like Martha's having fun and doing an awesome job as a medical officer. And Ianto called her "Ma'am". Hee.
I can see why she's staying around for a few episodes, though Owen must come back. Seems kind of stupid to kill him off just so Martha can guest star for a few episodes. From the preview it looks like Jack finds another Resurrection Gauntlet.
It's so weird that they don't mention the Doctor directly. It's like the first season of Angel when they refused to say Buffy's name. And Martha's got a boyfriend. Is it Tom? Seems more likely it's someone she met at UNIT since it's implied he saved Martha's life in a similar fashion to Owen. I hope we get to meet him at some point, either on Torchwood or Doctor Who. More likely on Doctor Who since UNIT is part of the two parter.
So it seems like Martha has moved on. I'm curious to know how many months have passed since the end of "Last of the Time Lords". How much time has Martha had to think things over? I like that she fitted in with the Torchwood gang. It wasn't just a lame crossover event to get some ratings. She's one smart cookie. :-) That thing she said about quantum entanglement totally went over my head. And how cute was it when Ianto told Jack Martha was here and he practically ran out of the autopsy room with glee.
