Since it's been hotter than hell here, I've been watching a lot of TV (I mean, the who the heck goes outside willingly when it's 30 degrees?) and I found a little gem called Top Gear. I do believe
ninamazing posted about this show before, but she called it better than Mythbusters and I didn't bother to see if that was true and sort of ignored what she had to say. While I still have a healthy love of Mythbusters, Top Gear is its own brand of cracktastic viewing. :-)
Mostly I enjoy watching the three hosts do random things with cars, like play hockey with tiny cars and an oversized puck, or strap rockets to the back of a Mini and send it down a ski jump to see if it can go further than a ski jumper, or turning a Robin Reliant into a honest-to-god space shuttle. Sadly, that last one crashed horribly to the ground, but its take-off was brilliant.
And you have British celebrities racing around a track in a reasonably priced car to boot. I'm still searching for David Tennant's episode, but I did watch Billie Piper's and Christoper Eccleston's episodes. How awesome is it that Christopher Eccleston only learned to drive back in 2004? That gives me hope. I'm like half his age and still can't drive myself.
Seriously, where has this show been all my life?

Oh yay! He's my new hero! My learner's just expired, so I don't even have that anymore!
I hope you find the Tennant episode. It's so cute how eager he is to beat Billie's time on the track. ;)

Definitely, and I think that's the best thing about the show. They make cars interesting. I'm sure lots of people have gone out and bought some of the cars on the show because of what the guys do with them.
I read that David's time ended up being slower than Billie's, though Billie did cut a corner.
