So the job I was hired to do, i.e.: boring data entry? Turns out it was all for nothing. I was told today that my year's worth of work is useless. I'm not completely clear on the details but the people who were supervising the work were also not impressed. Now everything has to be re-done. More annoyingly, they don't need my help to re-do it. Sigh. At least now I can throw out all the data entry related crap I've been hauling around between buildings.

But anyway... To help with my mood, I made this:


I'm not sure what to do with the image though. When I shrink it down to icon size you kind of lose all the detail. Maybe a wallpaper?

I'm glad I wasn't the only one annoyed by this. My data base guy was very not amused and he's the one who's going to have to fix everything.

Why is it useless? Are they unimpressed with you or because it is wrong?

I think it's a formatting issue. What I did isn't compatible with the system as a whole. It would have been nice to know that before people wasted all this time on this stupid data entry. I wasn't the first person to handle this, but I was the one who stuck with this the longest.

Now that I've had a day to think about it, I'm kind of blasé about the whole thing. If the client company wants to re-do it, they can do it on their own time.
