So I was watching the coverage of the new Mars rover, Curiosity, landing on the red planet, and it was all cool and stuff (and hey they eat peanuts for good luck), but when the first photos came back, I couldn't help but wish for a moment like this:
I could totally see the Doctor wanting to go to Mars to watch Curiosity's landing live but, of course, he messes up and lands right in view of the rover for all the rocket scientists to see. :-)
BTW, Curiosity has a Twitter account and it's so cute. Best tweet so far: "I'm safely on the surface of Mars. GALE CRATER I AM IN YOU!!!"

The idea of Rory travelling around the world with the Pandorica during those 2000 years totally appeals to me. Where did he end up while trying to get home (because the timeline in "The Big Bang" clearly shows that the Pandorica got around)?
Naturally, I'm inclined to think that Rory ended up in Canada. Heck, maybe he even helped with Confederation. :-) Somehow this led to me making this image:
It's not exactly perfect, Rory stands out like a sore thumb no matter what I do, but I still love the idea. And it's an awesome photo on its own. It's John A. Macdonald. He's just sitting all casual and pretty, with his hat resting on his knee. He was totally posing.
Doctor Who needs to have a story set in Canada. Just saying. :-D

I'm in a horrible rut, creativity wise. I should be doing stuff, but I'm sort of "meh". Procrastination: not just for school work anymore. Or maybe it's the anxiety of waiting for Doctor Who to come back (a week!). But when I'm not writing, I always find myself playing around in Photoshop. Keeps my hands busy, I guess, and it's always fandom related.
I'm sure everyone and their mother has used this particular picture of Billie Piper (from some movie called The Calcium Kid), but hey, if all the cool kids are doing it, why not jump on the bandwagon. The picture quality isn't the greatest, but whatever. I like to think this is Ten II and Rose sneaking in a quick snog in one of the stairwells at Torchwood Tower. Or it's an "aliens are coming and we might die" snog.
And an icon for added fun:

So the job I was hired to do, i.e.: boring data entry? Turns out it was all for nothing. I was told today that my year's worth of work is useless. I'm not completely clear on the details but the people who were supervising the work were also not impressed. Now everything has to be re-done. More annoyingly, they don't need my help to re-do it. Sigh. At least now I can throw out all the data entry related crap I've been hauling around between buildings.

I'm not 100% completely satisfied with the end result, but I think it works well enough. I couldn't find a high-quality picture of Ten in a sitting position dressed in either of his usual suits, so in my mind, this is Ten II and he and Rose have gone to Cardiff to investigate some unusual activity.

I wanted to do another Halloween image with Mal and Inara as Han and Leia, but it didn't turn out quite so well. So, more Halloween Doctor Who style! This is in no way me avoiding writing a term paper. :-D
In my head, Rose takes Jack and Nine home to attend a friend's Halloween party and it's Jack's idea to dress as characters from Star Wars. Nine protests, until he sees Rose dressed as Leia. Then Jack quips, "I bet you wish you were Han right now." I'm sure much candy eating follows and/or an alien stirs up some trouble and our TARDIS trio have to save the day. I can imagine Nine saving a kid and the kid going home and saying to his mother, "Mum, a Jedi saved me!"

Ah, it's that time of year again. The days are getting shorter, the leaves are yellow, and university students everywhere are putting off doing work. Oh, and it's Halloween time. :-D It's amazing how well the two of them can go together.
Doesn't the Doctor make a lovely Harry? I can't decide who would be the bigger Harry Potter fan. Maybe the Doctor because he cried when he read book seven.
