The Rose/Billie Piper half is from a promo pic for the movie The Calcium Kid photoshopped with a promo pic from "Smith and Jones". But that picture of Billie does pop up a lot when people are doing manips.

The Rose/Jack one took some doing, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

Can I ask you which program have you used to make animated icons and stay under 40KB? and have you used screencaps or vids? I'm using Photoshop CS4 with vids but they are always over 40KB or of very low quality....

Let's see... I use screencaps that I capture myself. One frame per second, so sometimes I end up with a lot of screencaps, but I do end up whittling them down to just the shots I need. The program I use is ImageGrab (http://paul.glagla.free.fr/imagegrab_en.htm). I use that in tandem with Photoshop CS2, ImageReady CS2, and Jasc Animation Shop. I spiff up the frames in Photoshop and then combine everything in either ImageReady or Jasc Animation. Both programs have their good points, but if you're having troubles keeping icons below 40KB than ImageReady is better because you can optimize the file size. Only downside to that is that the quality of the picture will go down. I don't know if this will help or not. I'm pretty much learning how to do stuff as I go along. There's probably better tutorials out there. :-)

#8 is a manip I did, using a promo picture of Billie from The Calcium Kid, and a promo pic of Ten from "Smith and Jones." I'm just calling it a Ten II/Rose icon just because. :-D

It's a wonderful line and I pretty much adore Eleven these days because he's just so damn charming.

And yes, I fell in love with that icon upon first seeing it. That's a scene that gets acted out between me and the resident furbabies on a daily basis.

And they listen to me about as well as Spot listens to Data. Le sigh...
