Ha, Castle had the best Firefly reference ever last night.

But I don't know, the costume looked... off somehow. I think it was the pants. They weren't tight enough. :-D

There also appears to be this lining to the coat, that flails all about when he twirls... I don't know what the deal is with that.

The coat's a remake, not one of the originals (I asked Shawna Trpcic on twitter and she answered me, how cool is that?. *G*) but it was made by the same guy who made the originals.... but they didn't have a liner... so I don't know what that is about.

And it's not the right pants or shirt... but none the less, it was still shiny to see him walking around in that outfit again :o) God, I miss Firefly....

Yeah, I noticed the lining, too. I thought for a second Castle was wearing a scarf with the costume. :-D

But it's cool that the crew made the effort to make something close to the original. And the exchange between Castle and Alexis is priceless.

Actually, it might be a scarf... I watched the grave yard scene again, and when he's talking about why he's wearing it... I think it does kind of look like it's a scarf... and the browncoats did wear scarves (different coloured scarves apparently denoted different ranks) so it is possible... If it's not, I can't understand why they'd leave a crummy liner like that in the shot...

Okay, I just watched the very beginning again, in as much slow motion as I could to try and see the easter egg Nathan tweeted about, and yeah, I'm pretty confident that it's a scarf, not the liner on the coat.

I'm not sure it would work. Both David and Nathan are tall but they have very different body types (muscular vs skinny).

Maybe in a fic the Doctor and Rose can dress up like Mal and Inara and vice versa. I'm sure they could have valid reasons for exchanging places. :-D
